I admitted that I don’t know many
attraction places around town. I always stay in my cocoon. I’m a boring person
to make friends with. Just recently I explored a bit and feel sooo good of
being outside of my comfort zone. Me and family went to Batu Caves. If you
were a tourist planning to visit Kuala Lumpur, make sure you include Batu Caves
in your itinerary.
The main attraction is the 42.7 meters of giant Golden statue of Lord Murugan & 272 steps to the Temple cave. |
Batu Caves is a limestone hill
that has a series of caves and cave temples. The cave is one of the most
popular Hindu Shrine, dedicated to Lord Murugan. It’s the point for thousands
of worshipers and tourists especially during Thaipusam.
Batu Caves consist of three main
caves which are the Temple cave, Dark cave and Art Gallery cave. We begin our
exploration at the Art Gallery cave, there were many statues and paintings
about Hinduism displayed in this caves. As for Dark Cave, you can find the
amazing stalactite and stalagmite formation here, unfortunately we didn’t make
a tour because it was closed for public, climb up the 272 steeps leading us to the Dark
cave and Temple Cave. Beware of the mischievous monkeys, they would steal your
food or anything that could attract them. They were everywhere along the steeps.
It was mesmerizing view of the city skyline from the top.
This cave reminded me of the popular 80's TV series Airwolf. |
I'll share another attraction places around town on another series. Please stay around.
Happy Valentine day everyone! xoxo
